4 Great Local Parks You Can Drive to Near East Brunswick, NJ

1. Bicentennial Park

Conveniently located at 176 Hardenburg Lane, Bicentennial Park is a 34-acre park featuring plenty of fun for everyone. There are beautiful walking paths and hiking trails to enjoy in the cool morning hours. As the day goes on, you can fish or watch your kids play soccer or baseball. In your 2024 Acura MDX, there will be plenty of room for the whole family, sports equipment, and coolers. You can even picnic at this beautiful park.

This park also features lit tennis courts. On the base of each court light set, there is an intuitive on/off button that you can use to light your tennis court if you want to play at night.

2. Heavenly Farms

Heavenly Farms is another outdoor recreation center that is well worth a visit. It is located at 440 Dunhams Corner Road, and it is an ADA-accessible facility. Some of the highlights of this facility include a dog park, disc golf course, and bike trail. There are also football, soccer, and lacrosse fields. You can have lights turned on at this facility’s fields, but you will need to get a permit first.

3. Great Oak Park

Located at 260 Rues Lane, Great Oak Park is another great park to picnic at. This ADA-accessible park features convenient parking and picnic tables, so you don’t have to bring your own blanket to picnic on. There is also a beautiful playground featuring slides, swings, and fun obstacles that your kids will love.  

4. Welsh Park

Welsh Park, at 36 Gordon Street, also features a playground with a lot for your children to enjoy, and there is a tot lot for small children. Besides two playgrounds for children of different ages, this park features picnic areas, picnic tables, and a grill. You can also visit this park with your friends and enjoy a game of basketball, softball, or baseball. There are also hiking trails to enjoy, and parking is a breeze.

East Brunswick has plenty of great walking trails, kayaking spots, and playgrounds to drive to. Some of the best include Bicentennial Park, Heavenly Farms, Welsh Park, and Great Oak Park. Bicentennial Park has the best fishing spots in the area, and Heavenly Farms has the best dog park.
