The 2026 MDX is Acura’s flagship SUV, a premium three-row vehicle designed for active families. With sports-inspired powertrains and upscale performance features, it’s much more fun to drive than other models in its class. When it comes to power, you can choose between a 290-hp 3.5L V6 engine, which equips most trims, and a 355-hp 3.0L turbo V6 engine offered on the performance-oriented Type S trim level. The base engine is paired with standard front-wheel drive on the two entry models, while Acura’s SH-AWD system is available across the lineup. Both drivetrains get power through a 10-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode and paddle shifters.
Premium Comfort
Stepping inside, you’ll find a spacious cabin with a 2/3/2 layout and seats for seven riders. A multifunctional middle seat in the second row adds versatility, allowing you to use the bench at full passenger capacity or lower the armrest for enhanced passenger comfort. You can also remove the middle seat completely and create a center pass-through.
Cargo & Utility
As you can expect from an SUV built for adventures, the MDX has ample room for cargo. The main trunk area behind the third-row seats offers 18.1 cubic feet between the upper and the under-floor compartments. All rear seats can be folded for a maximum capacity of up to 95 cubic feet. You can also enhance the cargo capacity with a cargo trailer. The base configuration offers a towing capacity of 3,500 lbs, while the AWD trims can tow up to 5,000 lbs.

The cabin’s focal point is the digital dash that combines a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster with customizable themes with a 12.3-inch color touchscreen.
