2.4L ENGINE - 8 SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION.
More than horsepower, more than torque, more than prestige, a liquid-smooth, blink- fast transmission is what makes a premium performance sedan thrilling. Inside the ILX, perfectly mated to its purposely lightweight and ultraresponsive 201-hp i-VTEC® inline-4- cylinder engine, is a masterpiece of a transmission: the industry's first 8-speed Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT) with a torque converter. The technology was born on the racetrack, and the fast and smooth shifts of the ILX's DCT directly connect the driver to the car and road. It's a connection that optimizes not just horsepower, but also every turn, every exit ramp, every roundabout, every parking garage, every side alley, every single drive, turning even the most routine driving moments into some of the most thrilling of your day.
TECHNOLOGY.
ON DEMAND MULTI-USE DISPLAY.
To avoid a crowded center panel, we developed an available intuitive touchscreen On Demand Multi-Use Display™ (ODMD™) that consolidates the controls you need at any given moment.
Up to 10 different audio sources can be directly accessed so you no longer need to repeatedly hit a button to select your desired audio source.
Every panel can be quickly operated; each display is uniquely designed for a particular task.
A shortcut button delivers quick access to your favorite audio presets, navigation locations or contacts.
When valet parking, another shortcut lets you disable access to various locations and functions. These include the trunk, glove box, navigation, phone and audio controls.
The ODMD™ can instantly display current status for audio and climate functions without disturbing the upper display screen. This feature is particularly useful when using the navigation system.
SAFETY.
ANTI-LOCK BRAKES.
ABS brakes automatically sense when a tire has stopped rotating under extreme braking, and will modulate the brake pressure to allow the tire to rotate. This increases the vehicles ability to turn while braking.
STABILITY CONTROL.
Stability control automatically senses when the vehicles handling limits have been exceeded and reduces engine power and/or applies select brakes to help prevent the driver from losing control of the vehicle.
AIRBAGS.
Front-impact airbags for the driver and passenger have been designed to protect the head during a frontal crash.
Side impact airbags for the front seats have been designed to protect the torso during a side impact collision.
Overhead airbags are used to protect the occupant's heads in the event of a side collision or rollover.
Knee airbags help to protect the occupants lower extremities from serious injury in the event of an accident.
SECURITY SYSTEM.
The vehicle is equipped with a means of anticipating and/or detecting unwanted vehicle intrusion. The vehicle is equipped with an ignition disable device that will prevent the engine from starting if the correct original manufacturer key is not used.

EXTERIOR HIGHLIGHTS.
